BERKELEY COLLEGE | STRATEGIC PLAN | 2006
The Planning Committee included members of the Board of Trustees, the President, members of the President's Council, and representatives from the faculty, students, and alumni. The process began with an environmental scan, which provided the external elements of broad change expected in higher education in the future. Development of a vision statement, a SWOT analysis, a gap analysis, strategic objectives and goals, and an implementation plan were all components of the planning process.
Rickes Associates (RA) facilitated all Planning Committee meetings, documented the progress of the Committee, and produced interim copies of the planning document for the Board of Trustees to review. In addition, RA coordinated the development of the process for collecting input from the College's stakeholders.
The College issued a follow-on contract to RA to provide facilitation and materials for training workshops on planning and assessment at the departmental level. (2006)
