HOUSING AND STUDENT CENTER STUDIES
Student-oriented spaces complement an institution's academic focus as learning
occurs in all campus spaces and not only in traditional instructional
environments.
Housing studies, for example, are conducted to assess current and projected capacities based on enrollment projections. This
assessment results in the necessary justification to either construct new bed space or renovate existing residence halls.
Student centers are an essential component of campus life, although they may
take various forms ranging from self-contained facilities to spaces "distributed" around campus.
