The campus has experienced growth of approximately 25 percent in just four years. Demand for space, especially instructional space, has increased dramatically and a 65,000 gross square foot academic building has been approved, augmenting the 147,000 gross square foot existing campus.
Prior to the construction of the new building, the College determined that a master planning process should be undertaken to derive maximum benefit from the new building, forecast future space needs of the campus, and explore possible collaborations with four-year institutions having satellite campuses in the area.
Rickes Associates directed a data collection effort followed by a series of meetings, interviews, and focus groups. Subsequent to this, an analysis of findings was undertaken and a series of space recommendations completed. This study then informed the master planning process undertaken by the team.
